Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Chief Engineer for Fury Advanced Development & Prototyping to lead end-to-end prototype and first-article builds of autonomous aircraft. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams from fabrication to flight-ready integration on high-performance airframes.

Based in Long Beach, CA, this leadership role demands hands-on excellence in manufacturing, DFM feedback, systems integration, and rapid problem solving on the factory floor with a view toward scalable production.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading hands-on build and integration of complex aircraft or aerospace vehicles.
• Deep expertise in manufacturing and prototyping, including composite fabrication and assembly.
• Experience taking a vehicle from design release to first article build and test.
• Experience leading small, agile engineering and technician teams in rapid development.
• Strong foundation in mechanical/aerospace structures and systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical execution of building first-article and prototype autonomous aircraft.
• Serve as lead technical problem-solver on the factory floor for manufacturing issues.
• Provide critical DFM feedback with conceptual design teams to ensure buildability.
• Oversee fabrication, assembly, and integration of airframe, propulsion, avionics, and controls.
• Develop and execute system integration, ground testing, and vehicle checkout plans.
• Build and mentor a small elite team of engineers and technicians.
• Direct technical interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure on-spec deliveries.
