Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a strong technical lead to own the Fury product line, define objectives from white papers to detailed design, and guide prototype, test, and manufacture of new Fury aircraft variants.

You will work closely with the Senior Director, Fury Programs, engineering leaders, suppliers, and customers to establish program plans, perform trade studies, and develop staffing and budgets to deliver capabilities on time and within cost targets.

Qualifications

• Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of technical engineering experience in a professional environment.
• Proven experience developing and executing detailed action strategies.
• Experience managing technical development projects or programs.
• Experience building and leading technical teams.
• Experience with aircraft system design, prototype and test.
• Experience with supporting or leading customer facing technical discussions.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Grow Anduril’s Fury product line by owning design process and roadmaps including scope, cost and schedule required to prototype, test, and manufacture alternative Fury aircraft variants.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director, Fury Programs as well as engineering and program leaders, growth team members, suppliers, and customer subject matter experts to drive success.
• Develop Fury vision, CONOPs, alternate configurations, and engineering activities to deliver new capabilities and determine the technical solution space.
• Establish program plan/vision and communicate to the team while ensuring milestones are met.
• Coordinate and execute design level trades with various functional engineering teams.
• Establish requirements, design review entrance/exit criteria, conduct trade studies, and assess system effectiveness.
• Incorporate first principles aircraft design knowledge, design standards, system safety, test methodology and risk reduction.
• Communicate effectively with executive leadership and customers; produce white papers and technical presentations.
• Candidate will begin as an individual contributor and later build a technical/programmatic team around opportunities.
• Develop budgetary estimates and schedules with functional engineering teams.
• Develop staffing estimates and recruit top talent and integrate them into the team.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to incorporate relevant capabilities onto the Fury platform.
