Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a manufacturing engineer to own Fury product area manufacturing from prototype through rate, driving manufacturability and tooling development for aircraft-class hardware. You will document builds and collaborate with contract manufacturers across PCBA, metals, and assembly.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, a BS in mechanical/aerospace/manufacturing engineering, CAD skills, and exposure to ERP/MES, with eligible US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering or hands-on build experience.
• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• ME fundamentals across drawings and GD&T, DFM, work instructions and tooling.
• You have physically built hardware through machining, fabrication, composite layup, or assembly.
• CAD proficiency and exposure to ERP and MES.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own a portion of the manufacturing value chain for a product, from prototype through rate.
• Develop tooling for the fabrication and assembly of structural parts.
• Develop process flows that break complex assemblies into a logical flow of subassemblies and sub-processes.
• Author build documentation, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
• Work with contract manufacturers across PCBA fabrication, metallic manufacturing, and assembly to develop repeatable processes.
• Build prototype hardware hands-on with technicians and other engineers, and root-cause and resolve floor issues.
• Operate with incomplete or evolving design inputs: ask questions, work from first principles, and create structure where none yet exists.
