Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Project Engineer - Flight Projects to join our team supporting NASA missions at Johnson Space Center. You will develop project documentation, track drawings, procurements, risks, and work with design teams to meet requirements and verify hardware through testing and inspection.

You will collaborate across organizations to develop test procedures, certifications, and integrated operation concepts, reporting progress to the team lead as part of a collaborative, high‑impact

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2–5 years of experience.
Experience developing requirements documents and verification criteria.
Experience with design, assembly, verification, testing, and operation of space hardware.

Responsibilities

Developing project documentation and maintaining status of drawings, procurements, risks.
Working with design team and analyst to ensure project requirements are achieved.
Inspection of hardware upon receipt to verify match with drawings/models.
Test rig and equipment buildup as needed.
Data analysis of test results.
Assist project management with configuration control of project documentation.
Development of test procedures including working with NASA for flight certification.
