Job summary

United Airlines seeks an intern for the Flight Operations Intern Program (FOIP) for 16 weeks, with locations in major U.S. cities. You will gain exposure to the operation of a global airline and work under a mentor who guides tasks and projects.

There may be opportunities to travel to other network cities on business trips and off-site visits, supported by hands-on assignments in office settings and corporate centers. High school diploma and FAA ratings are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• FAA Commercial rating required.
• FAA Medical (First, Second, or Third class) required.
• Valid passport for international travel.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist Flight Operations processes across Chief Pilot Offices, Flight Training Center, and Corporate Support Center as directed.
• Travel within the network for business trips and off-site visits when needed.
• Mentor assigned to monitor progress, assign tasks and direct daily work.
