Job summary

United Airlines invites students to join the Flight Operations Intern Program for a 16-week experience designed to expose you to the operation of a global airline. You will be mentored daily, work on tasks and projects, and may travel to other network cities.

Locations include Chicago, Denver, Houston, L.A., Newark, San Francisco, Washington, and Orlando. Start Jan 11, 2027; end Apr 30, 2027; travel opportunities and competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
FAA Commercial rating required.
FAA Medical (First, Second, or Third class) required.
Valid passport for international travel.
Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Willing to relocate and secure housing in the assigned location.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Interview required to meet qualifications.
Reliable, punctual attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

Support Flight Operations business processes in various offices and centers.
Assist with tasks, special projects, and daily mentor-directed work.
Potential travel to other cities within the network on business trips.
