United Airlines invites students to join the Flight Operations Intern Program (FOIP) for a 16-week exposure to the day-to-day operations of a global airline. Interns will be paired with a mentor who assigns tasks, projects, and daily guidance while supporting Flight Operations across multiple locations.

The program emphasizes real-world experience, the chance to travel to additional cities within the network, and hands-on involvement in staff support at the Chief Pilot Offices, Flight Training

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• FAA Commercial rating.
• FAA Medical (First, Second, or Third class required).
• Valid (Not Expired) Passport required for international travel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must be willing to relocate and secure housing in assigned location.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S for any employer without sponsorship or future sponsorship for a full/part time position.
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications.
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

Responsibilities

• United Airlines Flight Operations Intern Program (FOIP) provides 16 weeks of insight into the operation of a global airline.
• Intern will be mentored and assigned tasks, special projects, and daily direction by a supervisor.
• There may be opportunities to travel to other cities within the network on business trips and off-site visits.
