Job summary

ABX Air in Wilmington, OH seeks a Dispatcher/Flight Operations Officer to manage flight release preparation, weather briefings, fuel planning, payload calculations and in-flight monitoring.

You will coordinate deviations with System Control, Maintenance Control and crews, and work with airport management, customers and handlers.

The role requires flexibility across 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have HSD/GED.
• Dispatcher’s License.
• 1 year experience in flight operations with 121 carrier to include 1 year as a Dispatcher with 121 carrier.
• Advanced knowledge of aviation weather reports and their impact on flight operations, aircraft performance, regulatory requirements (FAR Parts 121/91), emergency procedures, air traffic control systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weather briefings and flight release preparation.
• Determine and order fuel; calculate payload.
• In-flight monitoring and debrief for each flight; ensure flights are prepared.
• Advise of operational problems; coordinate deviations with System Control, Maintenance Control and crews.
• Coordinate operations with Airport Management, customers, and handlers; work variable shifts.
