Job summary

ABX AIR in Wilmington, OH is seeking a Dispatcher to manage domestic and international flight release, weather observations, and fuel planning. You will prepare weather briefings, determine payload, monitor in-flight status, and debrief flights after arrival.

You will coordinate with System Control, Maintenance Control, crews, airport management, customers, and handlers, and adapt to 1st/2nd/3rd shift schedules with rotating days off.

Qualifications

• Must have HSD/GED.
• Dispatcher’s License required.
• 1 year experience in flight operations with 121 carrier.
• Knowledge of aviation weather reports and flight operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare domestic and international flight release; weather observations; prepare weather briefings; determine and order fuel; calculate payload; in-flight monitoring and debrief each flight; ensure all flights assigned are prepared; advise of any operational problems pertaining to assigned flights; communicate and coordinate deviations to plan with System Control, Maintenance Control and crews; coordinate operations with Airport Management, customers, and handlers; able to work variable schedule to include 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, with variable days off during the week.
