Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a detail-oriented administrative specialist to support the Flight Management Staff at the base. You will assist pilots with operational, administrative and personnel matters, answer phones, handle walk-in traffic and manage badge applications.

You will also process payroll transactions for military and resignations, maintain personnel records for transfers, and keep data files in Excel while ordering supplies and maintaining iPad inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
• Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists pilots with operational, administrative and personnel matters
• Answers phones, general questions and assists with walk-in traffic
• Issues parking tags and completing AOA badge applications
• Processes payroll transactions for all Military, LTD, Unpaid sick leaves as well as resignations/retirements
• Ensures all personnel records are processed for each pilot who transfers into or out of the base
• Maintains Loaner iPads and Jeppesens. Inventories and orders operational and office supplies via Smart Buy
• Maintains detailed data files in Excel
