Job summary

Air Methods is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Community Base Services, supporting multiple bases across licensed regions. You will assess patients, prioritize care for safe transport, and ensure safety throughout operations.

Responsibilities include bedside nursing, documentation, equipment readiness, and participation in mission briefings and education activities. A high degree of flexibility for a 24-hour shift pattern is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three years critical care/emergency nursing in last five years or per state EMS rules.
• Flight experience at least 1 year full-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from initial contact to handoff to facility.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Participate in ongoing education and maintain licensure/certifications.
• Operate and report on medical equipment, ensure onboard supplies.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and assist pilots as needed.
