Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) in Santa Rosa, CA is hiring a Flight Nurse to provide critical care transport and on-scene care. You will join a team of air transportation experts, ensuring safe patient transfers between medical facilities with high safety standards for crew and customers.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, managing critical care needs, maintaining aircraft readiness, and coordinating with dispatch and flight teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as an RN.
• Current RN license for states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP training provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care.
• Utilize critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured patients and support physicians' orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, well-stocked aircraft environment and conduct regular equipment/base checks.
• Collaborate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info and maintain accurate documentation and records.
