Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) is hiring a Flight Nurse in Kailua-Kona, HI to join our team of air transportation experts. You will transport patients to and from medical facilities and participate in scene calls, delivering high-safety standards.

The role requires an RN with emergency/critical care experience, active US RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, CFRN within 24 months, and EMT/trauma certifications as required. Starting pay ranges from $115,000 to $165,000 per year DOE.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best course of action for patient care in critical situations.
• Use critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured patients and support physicians' orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, well-stocked aircraft environment and perform equipment/base checks.
• Collaborate with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change information and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
