Job summary

FlightSafety International in Long Beach seeks a Flight Instructor to deliver exceptional ground and simulator training in line with aviation regulations and FlightSafety principles.

You will develop training materials, assess trainee progress, and maintain accurate training records, supporting client objectives while ensuring instructor qualifications and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aviation safety standards and best practices.
• Knowledge of common aviation regulations and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage classes and teach effectively.
• Ability to receive feedback and support development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pilot ground and simulator training for clients.
• Develop and prepare training materials to support delivery.
• Evaluate trainee progress and determine qualification or need for additional training.
• Complete accurate training records for each client.
• Identify client training issues and seek assistance when needed.
• Maintain instructor qualifications per regulatory requirements.
• Must be able and willing to participate in the company Drug and Alcohol program.
• Possess ATP certificate or ICAO ATP license; if no ATP, meet specified CFR requirements.
• Have minimum PIC type rating; FAR Part 135/121 or military experience preferred.
• Preferred: 2,500 hours of total flight time.
