Summary of Position:

Helicopter Instructor Pilot. To conduct in-aircraft initial conversion and/or recurrent flight training onsite and at customer locations. To complete course paperwork as required by Leonardo Helicopters and to assist in the development of course training materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver Pilot Type Rating and Recurrent Flight courses
• Deliver other training courses as applicable
• Study and train as needed to remain current as an instructor pilot, staying informed and up-to-date on the latest standards, procedures, and regulations
• Complete all required training paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Assist in the ongoing development of LHTA curriculum, products, and services
• Maintain and update training materials and publications
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications for Position:

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

• FAA Rotorcraft Commercial Certificate, ATP preferred
• FAA CFI/CFII, + EASA preferred
• Valid FAA Medical, minimum Second-class, First-Class preferred

Experience:

• Instructor background in helicopters
• A119 trained/150 hours as PIC on type preferred
• Strong IFR experience and knowledge
• 3,000 total hours Rotorcraft
• Twin turbine helicopter time; +500 hours preferred
• 200 hours instrument - actual/simulated

Competencies & Attributes:

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and MS Office knowledge
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time
• Experience in developing aviation training material
• IT skills: Microsoft Office
