Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Promontory, UT is seeking a Flight Inspector – Level 1 to perform a broad range of quality inspection tasks on tight tolerance parts and assemblies. The role requires independent work, safety with lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

The candidate will perform dimensional inspections, tool inspection, and process assessments in Receiving Quality Control, utilizing instruments and CMM-related software.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of quality inspection tasks independently.
• Conduct visual, in-process and final dimensional inspections on tight tolerance parts and assemblies.
• Perform tool inspections and follow procedures and planning documentation.
• Inspect using standard measurement instruments and ensure compliance with plans.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
