Job summary

APR Consulting, Inc. is sourcing an Engineering Development Technician II to join a NASA/JPL facility in Pasadena, CA.

The role focuses on complex mechanical assembly, integration, and testing for flight hardware, requiring deep technical expertise, leadership, and mentorship of junior staff. Candidate must have a high school diploma with 6 years aerospace experience in mechanical assembly or an associate’s degree with 1 year related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 6 years aerospace experience in mechanical assembly.
• Or Associate’s degree with 1 year related experience.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow procedures.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, assembly, testing and troubleshooting for spacecraft development.
• Travel extensively to support off-Lab integration and test campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality assembly and integration of flight hardware and spacecraft components.
• Read and follow engineering drawings and assembly procedures; select appropriate tools for precision work.
• Ensure flight-hardware handling, contamination-control, cleanroom and safety compliance.
• Support fabrication, assembly, transportation, and load testing of hardware.
• Mentor and support the development of less-experienced technicians.
