Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Texas seeks a Level 2 TIG Welder to fabricate, assemble, and weld flight-critical fluid systems and launch vehicle components using GTAW. You will interpret engineering drawings and deliver welds that meet aerospace quality standards, working closely with engineering to refine processes.

Strong mechanical aptitude and clear communication of technical information are essential; schedule may include nights, weekends, and overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on TIG (GTAW) welding experience on tube, pipe, or precision assemblies.
• Experience in tube and pipe fabrication including cutting, facing, precision fit-up, and assembly.
• Experience with aerospace alloys including stainless steel and Inconel.
• Proficiency using calipers, height gauges, and scales to hold tight tolerances.
• Ability to read, interpret, and execute work from engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Analyze engineering drawings to plan welding operations.
• Fabricate, assemble, and weld flight-critical fluid systems and components.
• Set up GTAW equipment and adjust parameters for proper welds.
• Inspect welds and ensure conformance to drawings and standards.
• Document work and support non-conformity resolution when needed.
