Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) seeks skilled aircrew flight equipment technician to support the AV-8B program at MCAS Cherry Point. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and testing of flight gear with emphasis on safety, mission readiness, and adherence to manuals.

US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are preferred; travel up to 25% is required. This is a full-time role supporting government-contract work at Cherry Point, NC.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience maintaining aircrew flight equipment.
• Three (3) years of experience supporting flight line operations.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (Tier 1 NACI).
• Thorough knowledge of inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and replacement procedures for aircrew flight, survival, and life-support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs periodic, scheduled, and unscheduled inspections, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, repair, and modification of aircrew flight equipment.
• Ensures correct fitting and comfort of aircrew flight gear, and assists aircrew in donning and adjustment.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and coordinates with aircrew and maintenance personnel as needed.
• Certifies aircrew equipment as safe for flight and records maintenance data accurately.
• Performs operational and continuity checks on survival radios, beacons, and other devices.
