Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Flight Equipment Technician to inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, modify, and test aircrew equipment for the AV-8B program at MCAS Cherry Point. This role supports mission readiness and requires strict adherence to safety and governing directives.

The position may require travel up to 25% and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years maintaining aircrew flight equipment.
• Three years of experience supporting flight line operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (NACI Tier 1).
• Thorough knowledge of inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and replacement procedures for aircrew equipment.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and government directives.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, repair, and modification of aircrew flight equipment.
• Ensures proper fitting and donning of aircrew gear for safety and comfort.
• Documents inspections, discrepancies, and repairs in maintenance logs and systems.
• Coordinates with aircrew, maintenance personnel, and supervisors as needed.
• Performs operational checks on survival radios and beacons.
• Disassembles and tests life-support systems to OEM specifications.
• Provides guidance to junior maintenance personnel.
