Job summary

Virgin Galactic is seeking a Receiving Inspector to support the Quality team. The role covers receiving and vehicle inspection, requiring an A&P license and knowledge of aerospace inspection standards. You will verify material traceability from the ASL and document inspection results.

Responsibilities include NCR/MRB handling, data entry, and collaboration with engineers and production. Onsite at Spaceport America with potential relocation assistance to Las Cruces, NM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years’ aerospace/related field experience (MRO, manufacturing, or airline).
• A&P License is required.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and relevant aerospace standards.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Process product inspections upon receipt from materials.
• Verify traceability and vendor status per ASL and inspection plan requirements.
• Perform re-inspections on returns from Manufacturing (MFG).
• Input data and inspection results in the systems.
• Generate NCRs as required in TipQA/Apriso during receiving inspections.
• Inspect electrical and mechanical parts and raw materials for conformance.
• Communicate inspection results clearly to engineering and production.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with safety regulations.
