Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certification with an instrument rating.
• Certified Flight Instructor Certification.
• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
• FAR Part 141.35 qualifications and FAA designated examiner considerations.

Responsibilities

• Administers the Flight Education Division of the Aviation Department.
• Oversees flight instruction to meet federal regulations and safety standards.
• Hires and evaluates Flight Instructors and assigns duties.
• Develops and improves flight instruction programs and research.
• Instructs advanced students and supports instructors with specialized training.
• Manages budgeting and marketing functions for flight education.
