Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to design, implement, and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of diverse aerospace platforms. You will coordinate deployment of vehicle models and simulations for multiple programs, ensuring accurate integration with flight control and autonomy software.

The role emphasizes modeling fidelity, data analysis, and end-to-end SITL/HITL/PITL activities to support flight testing across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related technical discipline.
• Experience with aerospace/aeronautical systems (including rotorcraft/VTOL) and/or Subsea vehicles.
• Experience in flight dynamics/platform physics and control.
• Proficiency with C/C++.
• Advanced proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and scientific Python (NumPy/SciPy).
• Flight test data processing/sim correlation experience.
• Experience with developing sub-system and system level models (Air vehicle, ground vehicles, ground based sensors and other types of complex systems).
• Experience with model development to support Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment across programs and products.
• Provide simulation solutions for Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development.
• Develop Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) solutions.
• Develop Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) solutions.
• Develop Pilot-In-The-Loop (PITL) solutions.
• Support customer product training solutions.
• Conduct Monte-Carlo simulation analysis.
• Develop and maintain simulation data analysis tools and processes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to model sub-systems and systems dynamics.
• Engage with customers to understand simulation requirements and deliver efficient modeling solutions.
• Own end-to-end SITL/HITL/PITL configuration for test vehicles to enable safe flight tests.
