Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to develop, implement and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of diverse air vehicles for our missile and autonomy programs.

The ideal candidate has aerospace experience, understands fidelity levels for integration with flight control and mission software, and can build physics-based digital twins for testing. This role involves SITL/HITL/PITL workflows and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related technical discipline.
• Experience with aerospace/aeronautical systems (including rotorcraft/VTOL) and/or Subsea vehicles.
• Experience in flight dynamics/platform physics and control.
• Proficiency with C/C++.
• Advanced proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and scientific Python (NumPy, SciPy).
• Flight test data processing/sim correlation experience.
• Experience with developing sub-system and system level models for air/ground vehicles and sensors.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of diverse air vehicles.
• Coordinate deployment and maintenance of vehicle models and simulation instantiations for ongoing programs.
• Develop models to support guidance, navigation and control algorithm development.
• Support SITL, HITL, and PITL workflows and data analysis for flight testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to ensure accurate system/vehicle dynamics.
