Job summary

Pacific Aviation in San Francisco is seeking a Flight Operations Manager to lead and mentor our flight operations team across regional stations.

You will direct dispatch activities, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate weather briefings, manage weight and balance, and partner with management, clients, and regulators to keep flights safe and on time.

Qualifications

• Five years in Flight Operations
• FAA Flight Dispatch License
• Knowledge of SITA/ARINC/LIDO/JEPPESEN/SABER flight planning software preferred
• Training per CFR 14 PART 121, 129,135; CFR 14 PART 120, CFR 49 PART 40
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory agencies/airports
• Capable of performing aircraft performance analysis

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates flight operation and control activities
• Over-see preparation/filing of computerized Flight and ATC plans for international flights
• Provide full weather/operational briefing to flight crews
• Oversee Flight Operations and Weight & Balance departments
• Liaise with management, clients, vendors, airports and authorities to ensure compliance
• Develop and mentor Flight Dispatch and Weight & Balance personnel
• Prepare staff schedules and reports on flight operations, payroll and client billing
• Operate within the department budget

About the position

Pacific Aviation is looking for a Flight Operations Manager to support and mentor our team.

Flight Operations

• Directs and coordinates through Flight Dispatcher's and subordinate personnel, flight operation and control activities
  

of regional stations.

Experience Required

• Experience of Five years in Flight Operations
• FAA Flight Dispatch License
• Knowledge of SITA/ARINC/LIDO/JEPPESEN/SABER communication/ flight planning software preferred
• Per carrier assignment, training required in CFR 14 PART 121, 129,135, CFR 14 PART 120, CFR 49 PART 40
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies/ Airports
• Capable to perform aircraft performance

• Provide full weather/ operational briefing to flight crews, analyze weather NOTAMS and ATC data to ensure safe operations and compliance with Airline SOP's
• Oversee and manage Flight Operations and Weight & Balance departments
• Liaise with Upper Management, Clients, Vendors, Airport and Government Authorities to ensure station activities are in compliance with Federal, State, Company and Airline regulations
• Manage and develop personnel (Flight Dispatch and Weight & Balance) to maximize operational performance in areas of on-time performance, staffing, training and safety
• Administrative duties include preparation of staff work schedules to obtain optimum utilization of human resources and facilities
• Prepare and submit reports pertaining to flight operations, payroll and Client billing
• Operate within the budget
  

Benefits

Salary: $80k - 85K with a bonus potential based on performance
Full time - Available to work and train on rotating shifts, holidays and weekends to cover the operational needs
