GEO Group in Wisconsin is seeking an Air Detention Officer to join a security crew providing charter aircraft services and ensuring safety for noncitizens and crew. The role emphasizes security procedures, documentation, and on-time reporting during long shifts.

The position requires U.S. citizenship, a high school diploma, and Security Officer certification, with ability to lift 50 lbs and travel as needed. Nights, weekends, and holidays are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen residing in the U.S. and able to obtain visas for travel.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
• Experience as a corrections/detention officer or law enforcement preferred.
• Certification as a Security Officer in the performing state required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and write detailed reports.
• Ability to work long irregular shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload noncitizens onto/off the aircraft and assist with seating and documentation.
• Search for contraband and assist in post-flight cabin cleanup.
• Escort noncitizens and provide for embarkation/debarkation security at ports of call.
• Maintain security checklists and respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Carry out duties to ensure safety of personnel and property throughout shifts.
• Complete all trainings and certifications and pass background investigations.
