Job summary

Sun Technologies in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Receiving Inspector Level 2 or Level 3 for a 12-month contract, onsite only. You will inspect flight-critical hardware, validate supplier documentation, and manage inspection records in TIPQA and Costpoint.

Responsibilities include visual and dimensional inspection using calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and supporting MRB and RCCA activities under AS9100/SQAR guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of related experience.
• Experience performing inspection for proper identity and dimensional conformance.
• Experience utilizing measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, gages, and pin gages.
• Familiarity with QMS documentation including purchase orders, blueprints, drawings, and inspection instructions.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent aerospace/defense QMS requirements.
• Familiarity with SQAR requirements and Q-code application in a government contract environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection on flight-critical hardware onsite in Oxnard, CA.
• Validate supplier documentation including Certificate of Conformance and test data prior to material acceptance.
• Execute inspection per quality instructions and program-specific requirements.
• Initiate and complete inspection records in TIPQA; verify routing in Costpoint prior to acceptance.
• Initiate Nonconformance Reports and support MRB documentation for nonconforming material.
• Apply visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspection techniques; enforce holds on materials with issues.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production to resolve documentation deficiencies.
• Support RCCA reviews when escapes or defects are identified.
• Other duties as assigned.
