Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ seeks Flight Inspectors (Level 1 or 2) to join the Receiving Inspection Team. You will verify incoming flight hardware, including EEE components and PWBs, against specifications and documentation, ensuring proper conformance before production.

Responsibilities include verifying supplier documentation, maintaining inspection records, and supporting MRB processes. A strong quality mindset and knowledge of AS9100/SQAR are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (Level 1) and 0 years of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent (Level 2) and 2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of inspection for identity and dimensional conformance.
• Visual inspection for defects (corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, pits).
• Ability to make pass/fail decisions and maintain records.
• Familiarity with QMS documents, blueprints, and inspection instructions.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or equivalent aerospace/defense QMS requirements.
• Familiarity with SQAR requirements and Q-code applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection on flight-critical hardware and components.
• Validate supplier documentation and conformance data prior to material acceptance.
• Execute inspections per Quality Instructions and program requirements.
• Create and update inspection records in TIPQA and Costpoint routing.
• Open Nonconformance Reports and support MRB documentation.
• Apply visual and dimensional inspection techniques; enforce holds on nonconforming material.
• Assist RCCA reviews for escapes or intake deficiencies.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production to resolve issues.
