Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer to own board design for next-generation payloads and mission systems on the Thunder platform. You will lead full lifecycle of flight-critical PCBs integrating sensors, communications, and processing hardware for the aircraft.

From schematic capture and layout through lab bring-up and flight testing, you will drive hardware designs while collaborating with mechanical, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, mission-ready solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex hardware, embedded systems, and products.
  • Experience with multi-gigabit SERDES, DDR memory busses, Ethernet MAC and PHY interfaces, FPGAs, and common busses like SPI and I2C.
  • Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller selection, configuration, and interfacing.
  • Experience with high-speed board design and PCB layout guidance.
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current probes, and test automation.
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux development, including device trees, drivers, bootloaders, and Unix tools.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Familiar with Python for test automation.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design embedded electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB design, bring-up, and system integration.
  • Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment and debugging tools.
  • Work with modern SoCs and networking hardware to build Anduril platforms.
  • Collaborate with firmware/software engineers for processor/peripheral selection and board bring-up.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
  • Support new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage involvement across multiple projects at various stages.
