Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Design Drafter to contribute to development of mechanical assemblies and detailed drawings.

You will produce 3D models and 2D drawings, collaborate with engineering and procurement, and ensure designs meet GD&T standards and manufacturing constraints. The role requires an associates or bachelor's degree in engineering/design, strong MCAD skills (Siemens NX/Teamcenter preferred), and a structured, detail-oriented mindset.

• Associates degree or 3 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Communicate with functional disciplines on design and fabrication requirements.
• Lead the graphical evolution of new products from layout to drawings including correctness of proportion, arrangement of internal components, necessary dimensional information and material and/or process suggestions.
• Producing final drawings or 3D/Solid models independently or in conjunction with others.
• Utilizing the Computer Aided Design (CAD) System to produce a variety of drawings and layouts to enable better visualization, clearance checks, and provide manufacturing information for Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) operations.
• Support Engineering, Sales, and Program Management for bid and proposal efforts by providing layouts and assemblies
• Organizing and planning of the number and types of drawings required to represent the design, exercising technical cognizance over Drafting personnel when assigned, checking detail drawings for completeness and accuracy and general follow through on product design.
