Job summary

Quantum Systems is seeking a Flight Control Automation Engineer in Gilching to contribute to mission aircraft development. You will design and validate navigation, path planning, and automated procedures for complex aircraft systems.

The role requires a Master’s in aerospace engineering and hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, plus an interest in automation and safety-critical software. English communication is essential, and collaboration spans multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or similar.
At least 1 year of professional aerospace experience with hands-on MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
Willingness to work with additional programming languages.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and validate functions for automatic waypoint navigation and path planning.
Automate pre-flight checks and test/maintenance procedures.
Derive operator interfaces for simplified vehicle operations.
Interact with external avionics and payload components.
Develop software for safety-critical applications following system development processes.
