Job summary

Quantum Systems seeks a Flight Control Automation Engineer to support our mission aircraft team. You will contribute to automatic waypoint navigation, path planning, and safety-critical software for high‑reliability aircraft platforms.

The role spans hands‑on work to system‑level responsibility, with collaboration across disciplines. A Master’s in aerospace engineering and at least 1 year of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow experience are required, along with fluent English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or similar field.
• At least 1 year of professional aerospace experience with hands-on MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• Knowledge of aircraft operations and flight performance.
• Interest in automation and safety-critical software development.
• Strong communication and initiative in a multicultural team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and validate functions for automatic waypoint navigation and path planning.
• Automate pre-flight checks and test/maintenance procedures.
• Derive operator interfaces for simplified vehicle operations.
• Interact with external avionics and payload components.
• Develop software for safety-critical applications following standards from requirements to testing artifacts.
