Job summary
Quantum Systems GmbH in Munich is seeking a Flight Control Automation Engineer to join our mission aircraft team. You will design, implement, and validate functions for automatic navigation, path planning, and safety-critical software in collaboration with multidisciplinary engineers.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in aerospace, has 1+ year aerospace experience with MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, and communicates in English.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or similar field.
- At least 1 year of professional aerospace experience with hands-on MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
- Knowledge of aircraft and flight operations.
- Interest in automation and safety-critical software development.
- Open, communicative, and competent internal expert.
- Highly self-motivated and able to drive own responsibilities forward.
- Proficient English communication.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate functions for automatic waypoint navigation and path planning.
- Automate pre-flight checks and test/maintenance procedures.
- Derive operator interfaces for simplified vehicle operations.
- Interact with external avionics and payload components.
- Develop software for safety-critical applications per requirements and tests.
