Gilder Search Group seeks an experienced Flexographic Press Operator for first shift on a growing packaging production team. The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining printing presses to meet customer specs, with a focus on high-quality color printing and process control.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of press experience, expertise with solvent-based inks, and strong mechanical aptitude in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating printing presses.
  • Experience with solvent-based inks for surface and lamination printing.
  • Strong background in high-quality process color printing.
  • Ability to set up presses based on job history and production specifications.
  • Experience using color management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate printing presses for a variety of production runs.
  • Install printing plates, load film, prepare inks, and configure equipment for each job.
  • Verify colors, film, inks, and job specifications before production begins.
  • Monitor press performance throughout production and make adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, film tears, and printing defects to minimize downtime and waste.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain equipment in optimal operating condition.
  • Ensure all finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Communicate production status and scheduling updates with supervisors.
