BigFoot Staffing is seeking a skilled Flexographic Press Operator for a temp-to-hire role in a manufacturing/printing environment. You will set up, operate, and maintain flexographic presses to produce high-quality labels and packaging that meet customer specs.

The ideal candidate has flexographic press experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and equipment reliability in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of flexographic printing press experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret production documents and work orders.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to accurately read rulers, scales, and precision measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret job orders, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Set up flexographic printing presses for production.
• Start and operate printing presses.
• Run approval samples and inspect printed materials before full production begins.
• Inspect printed product throughout production for quality issues.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
• Mix inks to achieve proper color matching and viscosity requirements.
• Clean printing plates, cylinders, dies, and press components.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and communicate production issues to supervisors.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company housekeeping standards.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality control requirements.
