Job summary

Giro Pack, Inc. in Vidalia, GA is seeking an experienced Flexographic Press Operator to support production on our Comexi CI presses and to meet daily quality and production goals.

The role requires expertise with CI presses, reading blueprints, and dying inks to match color specifications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of flexographic press experience, be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift with overtime, and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs while adhering to safety protocols

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years flexographic press experience.
• Direct experience operating Central Cylinder presses, preferably Comexi CI.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and overtime.
• Ability to read blueprints/work orders and use measuring tools.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate Comexi central cylinder (CI) flexographic presses.
• Mount plates, prepare inks (viscosity and color matches), and adjust web tension.
• Continuously monitor print quality and correct defects.
• Perform safe job changeovers and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow quality protocols and maintain a clean work area.
• Report safety/equipment concerns to supervisor and perform other tasks as assigned.

Job description

Giro Pack, Inc. is seeking an experienced Flexopgraphic Press Operator to support production operations at our Vidalia, GA. location. The Press Operator plays an integral part in the manufacturing of products within the fruit/vegetable packaging industry while safely operating Comexi Central Cylinder (CI) presses in order to meet the daily quality/production printing goals as set by the Printing Manager.

Minimum Requirements: No candidate will be considered if minimum requirements are not met.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a flexographic press operator (technical test required)
• Specialization: Direct experience operating Central Cylinder (CI) presses, preferably Comexi brand
• Availability: Ability to work 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm) or 3rd shift (10:00 pm - 6:00 am) and work regular overtime hours
• Skill: Excellent visual color matching, ability to read blueprints/work orders, and proficiency using measuring tools (micrometers, densitometers)
• Physical: Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for the duration of the shift

Flexographic Press Operator job duties include:

• Set up, adjust, and operate Comexi central cylinder (CI) flexophraphic presses
• Mount plates if needed, prepare inks (viscosity and color matches). and adjust web tension
• Continuously monitor print quality during production runs to detect and correct defects
• Perform fast and efficient job changeovers safely
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot common technical issues
• Strictly comply with quality protocols
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow inspection procedures
• Use proper PPE when necessary
• Report all safety/equipment concerns to manager immediately
• Conduct other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $23.00 - $27.00 (based on experience)
