Job summary

C-P Flexible Packaging is seeking Flexo Press Operators to run and set up flexo presses, ensuring on-time production while meeting quality standards. The role involves tear-downs, setup adherence, and maintaining output within daily goals.

Starting pay is DOE plus a $1.25/hr shift differential, with a 12-hour 2/2/3 rotation. Benefits include vacation, holidays, health coverage, 401(k), and bonus programs.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and experience with press equipment.
• Experience operating flexo/narrow to wide web presses.
• Ability to follow procedures and instructions precisely.
• Basic computer skills for job documentation.
• Good communication and teamwork needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead tearing down and setting up jobs on the press.

Job Functions & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Operators lead in tearing down jobs and setting up jobs.


• Must meet any new task of job functions that may arise.


• Must follow set up procedures for given machine.


• Complete tasks on adequate time limits, as to meet press daily goal and schedule needs.


• Meet all changing conditions in your environment.


• Must assure that materials produced is of highest quality for customer needs and specs outlined on order or with individual job classification specs.


• Work in a team environment, giving more than you might think is expected from position.


• Meet daily goals that are set, within a very close margin of other operators and crews on same machine.


• Help minimize waste %


• Complete tasks in adequate time limits, as to meet press daily goal and schedule needs.

SOP’s may cover the area of (but are not limited to):

• Employee Health & Safety


• SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift to up-to 100lbs with assistance of hoist and up-to 70 lbs without (intermittently)


• Bending and twisting,


• Working from two story heights. (intermittently)


• Using step stools or ladders. (occasional)


• Adjusting shift hours for vacation coverage or machine demands. (intermittently)
