Job summary

C-P Flexible Packaging is seeking a Flexo Press Operator to join our production team. You will operate flexo presses across narrow and wide web formats, set up jobs, and work to meet daily targets with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Starting pay is DOE plus a $1.25 per hour shift differential in a 12-hour rotation schedule. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, holidays, medical/dental/vision, a 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for merit-based raises

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills required.
• Experience operating flexo presses preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure and follow setup procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup and tear down of jobs on the press.
• Meet daily press goals and schedule needs.
• Ensure material quality and alignment with job specs.
• Work in a team to minimize waste and maintain safety SOPs.

Job Functions & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Operators lead in tearing down jobs and setting up jobs.
• Must meet any new task of job functions that may arise.
• Must follow set up procedures for given machine.
• Complete tasks on adequate time limits, as to meet press daily goal and schedule needs.
• Meet all changing conditions in your environment.
• Must assure that materials produced is of highest quality for customer needs and specs outlined on order or with individual job classification specs.
• Work in a team environment, giving more than you might think is expected from position.
• Meet daily goals that are set, within a very close margin of other operators and crews on same machine.
• Help minimize waste %
• Complete tasks in adequate time limits, as to meet press daily goal and schedule needs.
• SOP’s may cover the area of (but are not limited to):
  • Employee Health & Safety
  • SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift to up-to 100lbs with assistance of hoist and up-to70 lbs without (intermittently)
• Bending and twisting,
• Working from two story heights. (intermittently)
• Using step stools or ladders. (occasional)
• Adjusting shift hours for vacation coverage or machine demands. (intermittently)
