Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a mechanically inclined operator for the flexo/packaging line. Responsibilities

• Set up rails, print, and die cut sections on Flexo per setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before and after runs and perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure cutting die bolts are secure and tight.
• Monitor box quality, including liner, warp, size, and print; check rolls for damage.
• Maximize equipment utilization by running at available capacity and speed.
• Assist Operators, Assistants, and Utilities with job duties.
• Submit accurate production reports and safety/quality data.
• Turn in maintenance work orders for repairs.
• Complete annual packaging safety training and report safety risks.
• Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and company policies.
• Suggest schedule optimizations to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
