Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a Flexo machine operator to set up rails, print, and die cut sections accurately in line with established techniques. You will inspect dies, secure equipment bolts, monitor quality, and help teammates to maintain efficient production.

Responsibilities include completing production and safety reports, assisting with maintenance requests, and adhering to the plant schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Overtime on short notice may be required.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Set up rails, print, and die cut sections on Flexo using proper setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before and after run to ensure repairs as needed.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are in place and secure.
• Monitor box quality for issues like loose liner, warp, size, and print; check rolls.
• Maximize equipment utilization by running at available capacity and speed.
• Assist Operator, Assistant Operator and Utility with machine duties.
• Complete reports timely (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety, Quality).
• Turn in maintenance work orders for repairs.
• Follow all policies, safety rules and housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to production schedule and flag scheduling issues to Supervisor.
