Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America in Landisville, PA is hiring a Machine Assistant Operator on 2nd and 3rd shifts to set up, run, and inspect Flexo equipment for food packaging applications.

You will work with the Operator and Utility teams, ensure quality, complete reports, and follow safety procedures. Starting pay is $25.53–$26.43 per hour with annual bonus and benefits including vacation, holidays and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Set up rails, print, and die cut sections on Flexo according to setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before and after runs andperform repairs if needed.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are secured.
• Monitor box quality, check for damage, warp, size, and print.
• Operate machinery to maximize capacity and speed.
• Complete reports accurately, including production data and safety/quality metrics.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs.
• Complete mandatory food packaging safety training and report safety risks.
• Follow company policies and maintain good housekeeping.
• Adhere to production schedules and suggest improvements to meet cost/quality/service goals.
