Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a hands-on operator in Dallas to set up rails, print, and die cut sections on Flexo, while ensuring dies and bolts are secure and quality is maintained. You will monitor production, help the team, and complete timely reports.

The role requires overtime availability, the ability to work in a manufacturing environment, and authorization to work in the U.S. Compensation includes the potential for bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, both during the week and weekends.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Set-up rails, print, and die cut section on Flexo accurately per setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before and after run to ensure repairs as needed.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.
• Monitor box quality incl. liner, warp, size, and print; check rolls for damage.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating machinery at capacity and speed.
• Assist Operator, Assistant Operator and Utility with job duties on the machine.
• Complete reports accurately, including Production Data, Machine Status, Safety, and Quality Data.
• Turn in maintenance work orders for repairs.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest scheduling improvements for cost, quality and service goals.
