Job summary

The Substitute YDP provides coverage at various program sites when regular staff are absent. They foster positive relationships with youth, families, and school personnel while maintaining a safe environment.

Assignments vary daily across Washington County Schools; flexibility is essential. Duties include supervising activities, delivering preplanned lessons, and supporting youth development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth ages 5–12 or 13–18 in an educational or youth development setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different sites, staff teams, and program environments.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and general computer applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with youth through active engagement and mentorship.
• Provide active supervision and maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in games, recreation, and enrichment activities.
• Lead or assist with physical activities, including sports and playground games.
• Supervise outdoor activities and recess in varying weather conditions.
