Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bowling Green Area is seeking an energetic Youth Development Professional to support our Summer Program. You will ensure safety, oversee activities for ages 6–18, and help run national and local programming across our Main Clubhouse and partner locations.

Responsibilities include facilitating activities, planning schedules by age, supervising field trips, and maintaining equipment, with a focus on engaging learning experiences in a busy nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

  • Background check required.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Must be organized and responsible.
  • Ability to work well in a team.

Job description

We are seeking an outgoing and energetic people to join our Summer Program team! As a Youth Development Professional (YDP) your top priority will be to ensure the safety of our Club members ages 6-18. YDP's will oversee members activities and facilitate Boys & Girls Club National and local programming. As a YDP you will be responsible for the day to day classroom activities in a busy, nonprofit youth organization. Locations include our Main Clubhouse @ 260 Scott Way, Natcher Elementary and Bristow Elementary.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate activities, games, sports, and other outdoor activities
  • Assist in creating daily and weekly schedules catered to each group of members, their ages, and interests
  • Monitor members and escort them to various activities and field trips
  • Provide fun learning opportunities
  • Set up, take down, and maintain Club equipment
Qualifications
  • Must pass a background check
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Organized and responsible
  • Ability to work with a team

Hours are 30-40 hours per week beginning May 26th - July 31st. All staff will be off June 29th - July 3rd.
