Job summary

The McPherson Companies, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform all warehouse functions, including preparing shipments, unloading/loading trucks, and assisting Operations personnel. The role requires flexibility for day or night shifts across 1st and 2nd shifts.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, following SOPs, using the WMS to stage orders, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring safety. Must have a high school diploma and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Previous filling/packaging warehouse experience.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and to understand traffic signs.
• Knowledge of procedures to secure cargo in or on a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to successfully complete the forklift certification test.

Responsibilities

• Work with Lead Warehouse person to ensure uninterruptible supply for our customers.
• Unload and load product from/to intercompany, package, and bulk trucks for next day orders.
• Follow proper SOP for loading, unloading, and flushing trucks/trailers.
• Pull and stage/load the next day’s orders using the WMS.
• Operate a vehicle on McPherson's site(s) complying with DOT and company policy.
• Perform drumming and repackaging as needed to meet customer needs.
• Participate in shift opening meetings and suggest warehousing improvements.
• Prepare, complete, and submit required paperwork by shift end.
• Communicate with Operations Personnel, Dispatchers, Fleet Maintenance Manager; assist as required.
• Operate stock management tools (forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
• Perform cycle counts and keep inventory records as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility; report accidents or spills to management.
• Ensure the facility is properly shut down at shift end.
