Job summary

The McPherson Companies is hiring for a Warehouse Associate to perform a range of duties including loading/unloading shipments, staging orders, and assisting Operations personnel in a fast-paced environment. This role requires reliable performance, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers.

Candidates should have a minimum high school diploma and be at least 18 years old, with prior warehouse experience

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse experience (filling/packaging/picking).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts (stand-up and sit-down), pallet jacks, cherry pickers, etc.
• Knowledge of procedures to secure cargo in or on a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to successfully complete the forklift certification test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while performing multiple duties and tasks.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Ability to follow company safety and quality procedures and guidelines consistently.
• Proven ability to complete position responsibilities within the allotted timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse duties including loading/unloading, packing, and preparing shipments.
• Unloading and loading product for intercompany, package and bulk trucks.
• Pull and stage orders for next day delivery by drivers.
• Operate vehicles on/off customer sites in line with policy and DOT rules (if eligible).
• Ensure proper handling procedures and safety compliance at all times.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility and assist with special projects as needed.
• Provide support to Operations Personnel, Dispatchers, and Fleet Maintenance Manager.
