Job summary

Stanbridge University is seeking dedicated Adjunct Vocational Nursing (VN) Faculty to educate and mentor the next generation of vocational nurses. Instruction spans classroom, skills lab, and clinical settings across campus locations, including Riverside.

Flexible scheduling, opportunities to teach in your clinical specialty, and strong mentorship and development are offered. Compensation is $40.00–$50.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Current, active California RN or LVN license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum four (4) years of clinical nursing experience within the past five (5) years.
• Minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience within the past five (5) years.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Previous teaching or precepting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• ATI and CourseKey experience preferred.
• Immunization records must be up to date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical and/or theory instruction using approved course materials.
• Develop instructional strategies that engage students and promote clinical judgment.
• Evaluate student competency using established clinical and academic standards.
• Facilitate the integration of theory into clinical practice.
• Ensure patient safety and compliance with clinical agency and university policies.
• Lead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning.
• Engage students in reflective practice and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student grades, attendance, and performance.
• Participate in department meetings and shared governance.
