Sodexo at Wayne State University is seeking a Utility Worker to support kitchen and facility operations by keeping food production areas clean and organized. You will clean equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces, assist with set-up and break-down, and help transport supplies.

The role requires varying shifts with open availability and is full-time or part-time. No prior experience required beyond a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and knowledge of sanitation and food

Qualificações

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic food safety.

Responsabilidades

• Washes dishes by hand or uses dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment with sanitizing chemicals.
• Restocks supplies such as soap and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or other mobility required.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods, potentially longer than 8 hours.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
