Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex - Unarmed in Murrells Inlet, SC. You will patrol designated areas, respond to incidents, and support client needs across healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more.

The role offers 30–40 hours per week with a self-scheduling program and irregular shifts to suit client requirements. Starting pay is $18.20 per hour, with benefits for full-time positions including health insurance and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Able to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Able to travel the required distance for assignments.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background check and drug screening as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department as needed.
• Warn violators and enforce site rules.
• Monitor entrances and exits and verify authorized access.
• Protect property and observe for theft or improper removal.
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.
