Job summary

Ohio Substitute Teacher Services offers substitute teaching opportunities across Ohio to support student learning when teachers are absent. We partner with Fairview Park City Schools and other districts to place substitutes in a variety of school settings.

We assist with credentialing and onboarding for newcomers, including those without a teaching background, and provide guidance through the hiring process from screening to first assignment.

Qualifications

• Criminal record check: clean background for public school employment per FBI/BCI checks within 365 days.

Responsibilities

• Follows lesson plans to ensure continuity of education.
• Maintains a neat and orderly classroom environment.
• Ensures student supervision and safety in the classroom.
• Keeps students engaged and learning.
• Monitors student progress and supports learning goals.
• Maintains existing classroom management and discipline procedures.
• Understands school policies and procedures for a smooth operation.
• Provides written feedback to the regular classroom teacher.
• Maintains accurate attendance records.
